Ave Maria

The Ave Maria is adapted from parts of the New Testament, namely Luke 1:28, 42 and James 5:16. 

Strassberger's setting of the prayer was written to memorialize the passing of both his maternal grandmother and the mother of the rector of his theological seminary.

A longing melody is sung by a Tenor soloist, calling out for his mother. In the end, he is joined by warm ensemble of his brothers.
